Special Notice about Liability Waivers

Our new club secretary, Roy Gunter, who is a practicing attorney, has reviewed our membership application, and finding the waiver of liability on it woefully inadequate, has re-composed the waiver to fully protect our club from any and all possibility of claims against the club and/or its members.

The waiver must be signed by all members, even though they may have already renewed their memberships and signed the one on the membership application form. We realize that this is an inconvenience, but the advantage to it, in addition to more fully protecting us, is that it only needs to be signed once, not every year, as has been the case up until now. Any family memberships that have children or other dependents included in the family membership must also sign a waiver on behalf of any minor (under 18 years of age) children.

The new waiver form can be obtained from our membership directors, Linda and David Doughty, at the club meetings, or under the "How To Join." link in the upper left corner of the website. Please read it and sign it, and either give it to Linda and Dave, or mail it to the club post office box, P.O. Box 2008, Santa Cruz, CA 95063-2008, marked "Attn: Membership Directors".
