'Tis The Season
by Joe Bigas

This is the month that three really important things happen. First, Santa Claus comes down the chimney with a favorite piece of new fishing tackle. Second, we elect new officers for our fly fishing club. Third, we prepare for our annual fund raiser. Let me start with the last because it is the most important. This is the event where we raise most of the money to run the Club and to make the Club's contributions to conservation organizations important to our sport. Without volunteers this just will not happen. Buy your tickets and contact John Cook (688-1561) to tell him how you can help put this event on.

Next, I wish to thank all of our hard working board members. Pending your vote, most them will be returning next year.

Last, when you tell Santa what would like, please have him purchase it at our local fly shops. There is a great working relationship between the club and Ernie's Casting Pond that goes way back. The owner of a new shop in Felton, Perry Ralston, assures me that he also supports the club in every way he can.

Merry Christmas...tight lines...and full stockings!
