*Kayak Connection Fishing Contest - June 18th
Join Kayak Connection Saturday, July 18 for a great fishing contest at Loc Lomond in Zayante. A Prowler angler donated by Ocean Kayak will be the first place prize. Releases and Entry Forms are available at www.kayakconnection.com. The fishing should be epic with catches available on trout, bass, channel catfish, and crawdads. The season is wide open for your fishing pleasure. It would be nice to have more participation from the youth and female classes. The heaviest bass or trout wins.

All the entry fees are donated to the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project, www.mbstp.org . Founded in 1976, the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project (MBS&TP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and enhancement of the native salmon and steelhead populations of the greater Monterey Bay area. To accomplish the goals of the MBS&TP has developed three major programs:

* Coho Salmon and Steelhead
* Chinook Salmon Enhancement
* Salmon and Trout Education (STEP)

Over 240,000 King Salmon were released from our new Santa Cruz and Moss Landing pens in May and June 2005.
