Each year, this award is given to the person who has most helped other members to learn about and enjoy fly fishing during the past year. This person best exemplifies and advances the Santa Cruz Fly Fishermen objective, "to promote, educate and enjoy the sport of fly fishing."
For example:
Often right there to recommend the best fly
Often helped you to find the best place to fish
Took special pains to teach you how to rig your leader and flies, and tie good knots
Helped you choose the right rod and line
Took the time to teach you a new way to fish
You may vote for as many different people as you want, but you may vote only once for each person. Vote by writing the candidate's name on a slip of paper and put it in the ballot box provided. A phrase suggesting why you voted for that person (e.g., "showed me how to do-----") will really help the award presenter.
The winner will receive a gift certificate at the Annual Fund-Raiser, January 20th, 2007.

The Annual Slide Show, a perennial favorite, is coming up in January, so get your digital photos together and submit them to Dougald Scott, so he can compile the show. If you do not shoot digital photos, and have prints or slides of your fishing exploits, give them to Dougald, and he will scan them so they can be included in the show.
