The guest speaker for March is Steve Korbay, an expert on Czech nymphing from the Santa Rosa area. Steve's lecture will be on the mysteries of Czech nymphing and how to apply the technique to our rivers in California.
What began on the Dunajec River in Poland in 1984 during a fishing tournament between Poland and Czechoslovakia soon became known as "Czech nymphing". to the rest of the fly fishing world. The technique of incorporating 3 weighted nymphs instead
of the usual one or two was destined to catch on with the rest of the world as one of the more deadly means of catching trout.
Steve will demystify the alien set up and demonstrate the correct rigging that willenable the average fly fisherman to successfully use the method to become a vacuum cleaner of fish. He would also like to invite any members interested in learning his technique to bring their fly tying gear and tie along with him.
