Most everybody has seen those little neoprene cuffs with lens cleaner cloths stuffed up inside them that attach to your fly vest. Here's an easy, cheap way to make a similar widget. All you need are an empty film canister, a small "S" hook, a small snaffle, and a 6"x6" square lens cleaner cloth, and either a hemostat or a small pliers. Most optometrists give the lens cleaner cloths away for free.
Poke a small hole in the bottom of the film canister. Attach a corner of the lens cloth to one end of the "S" hook and crimp it firmly, then straighten the other end of the hook and poke it through the hole in the bottom of the canister from the inside. Bend the straightened end of the "S" hook back into a loop and attach the snaffle to the loop. Stuff the cloth up into the canister, hook the snaffle to your vest, and you're good to go!
