May 30th - Miramichi River, New Brunswick

It all came together for me on this classic Atlantic salmon river where I managed to catch my first one, a beautiful 36" hen. Apparently she was the first bright fish of the season and my guide was as excited as I was. I also landed several resident and sea run brook trout to 16 inches. If you visit the Maritime Provinces in Canada, this river is a must.- Dougald Scott
Early June - Orland, CA

Lois and I fished for shad on the Sacramento with Wayne Syn of Orland Outfitters the first part of June. The fish were scattered but we did manage to take a few. - Walt Robinson
June 16th - LoFranco pond on Quail Hollow Road
My grandson and I arrived at this pay to play pond with high hopes. We tried everything in the box, surface to deep, dries to nymphs to buggers. Results for three hours fishing: fish caught = 0; strikes = 0; fish seen = 0. I'm left to conclude there are very few if any trout in this pond. - Dougald Scott
