Reel Recovery
Reel Recovery is an organization that conducts fly-fishing retreats for men recovering from life-threatening cancer. Their mission is to help men in the cancer recovery process by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing, while providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences with cancer, with others who share their stories.
Casting For Recovery
CFR provides fly fishing retreats at locations around the United States. Our retreats are specifically designed for women who have or have had breast cancer. We enhance the lives of breast cancer survivors by offering no-cost retreats tailored to promote and support mental and physical healing, shared experiences, and the hope that comes from learning new skills. These two above-mentioned organizations were brought to our attention by SCFF member Dave Risney, who urges anyone needing additional information about them, and/or wishes to contribute to them, to visit their websites: www.reelrecovery.org and www.castingforrecovery.org.

Pyramid Lake Regulations
The proposed changes in regulations at Pyramid Lake, Nevada, will not go into effect until 2009, so the fishout that is usually scheduled in March will not be affected next year.
