Use this easy-to-tie fly in your favorite lake for trout or bass. Use a sinking line, put your rod tip in the water, strip or twitch slowly in the water and expect a big tug. Tight lines!

Hook:TMC 5263, size 6-10
Bead:Gold
Thread:Maroon or black
Tail:Black marabou
Pearl Krystal Flash
Body:Long peacock herl
Red Crystal Chenille

1. Crimp barb.
2. Feed bead onto hook, small hole first.
3. Attach thread behind bead, wrap to rear, covering shank, then back to behind bead.
4. Select clump of marabou, pinch off straight tips without barbules, moistened to make easier to handle. Measure from bead to one shank length beyond shank, tie in place on top of shank.
5. Tie in center of strand of Krystal Flash at rear of shank, fold back so there are two strands in tail, cut to tail length.
6. Repeat step 4 to make tail fuller for larger hooks.
7. Remove fibers from thread at end of crystal chenille and tie in at rear of shank.
8. Tie in one strand of peacock (butt ends) that have long barbs at rear of shank. Use two for larger hooks.
9. Make dubbing loop, advance thread to behind bead, twist both peacock and crystal chenille in loop, wrap forward to behind bead, tie off, cut excess.
10. Whip finish.
