A Message from the Fishout Master

In addition to continuing the popular distant fishouts from the previous years and adding a new one or two, the board has voiced interest in expanding the fishouts for 2008 to include close-by (2 hours or less driving time) weekend campouts and day trips.
There are a number of good places: McAlpine Lake and San Justo Reservoir near Holister, San Luis and O'Neil forebay and Los Banos Reservoir near Los Banos, The San Lorenzo River, Monterey Bay for rockfish on a charter boat and surf fishing right in our own backyard, and you will see some of them on the 2008 Fishout Schedule.
We are striving for more choices to make it easier to get even more of the membership fishing together. If any members have particular time frames that work best, e-mail me with your preferences before the 20th of November and we will try to hold a fishout that fits your schedule.
