With the ongoing club outings happening in the surf, a few flies for surf perch and other fish in the surf zone need to be tied. The "Fly of the Month" is also a surf perch fly. Both have been recommended by Ken Hanley, who is considered THE authority on fishing the surf.
Bring Red 3/0 monocord, your tying tools, vise, light and magnification if needed. Beginners are always welcome; a couple of sets of tools, vises and lights are available for those who do not yet have their own.
Sign ups will take place at the January club meeting and are much appreciated, as the instructor has to prepare enough materials for the attendees. If you can't make it to the meeting and want to come to the class, call Elaine, at 688-1561. Likewise, if you sign up and later find you cannot attend, please call to cancel.
