Wading Across Moving Water

There are many "do's and don'ts", but here are a couple tidbits that many have never thought of:

1. Animals like deer know the easy spots to cross. Look for their trails in one side and out the other.
2. A thunderstorm upriver, even out of sight in the distance, can increase water depth and velocity quickly.

I learned the first from Richard Kline, and the second from the best teacher; experience.
