Lincoln Gray is our May guest speaker. After some years as a manufacturer's rep in the fly business, Lincoln settled down to become the general manager of Sierra Stream and Mountain. Located in beautiful Chico, California, the store's location (and his in-laws cabin) has allowed Lincoln to become an expert at fishing the still waters of Lake Almanor.
Some of our members enrolled in a class that Lincoln ran up at Lake Almanor. We all learned a wealth of information that enabled us to be successful on the lake that same day. A few years back Sierra Stream & Mountain bought out Jay Faire's fly tying materials. This acquisition has put Lincoln's business among the top brands in the fly tying arena.
The end of June will find me with the slobbering jitters just dreaming about the lunkers that Lake Almanor holds. Prepare for a night of still water (and some stream info as well) instructions when the only Lincoln I know west of the Mississippi comes to Santa Cruz.
