Urban Watch is our dry season storm drain monitoring program. Each month, teams in Capitola and Santa Cruz will monitor the dry season flow from their city's stormdrain outfalls. Monitoring includes conducting field measurements and in-field water sample analysis with field kits. Continued monitoring and data collecting is essential to helping restore and protect local rivers and creeks as well as the Monterey Bay Sanctuary.
* Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.
Project Healing Waters is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings. The following is a testimonial letter sent to one of its representatives:
To Ed Nicholson from Brian and Ashley Mancini:
I just wanted to personally thank Project Healing Waters for an experience of a lifetime. I am currently receiving treatment at Walter Reed and have been for about nine months, and recently went on the 2 fly fishing trip. This was my first time Fly fishing and I just wanted to say through this experience you have made me a Fly Fisher for Life. The generosity and kindness of the people affiliated with this organization was overwhelming. There is a healing that no doctor or medical professional can prescribe that will replace the healing of the heart and mind I experienced on this trip. Not only have you welcomed me, but you welcomed my wife and made a fly fisher out of her. Thank you for an incredible experience and I look forward future experiences with this outstanding organization.
I tried to post this to your site but had some difficulty, so I am sending it to you. You guys are great.
Thank you,
Mr. and Mrs. Mancini
