Shoreline Salt Water Fly Fishing Guest Speaker: Jay Murakoshi We are in for a good one as our November guest speaker is the renowned salt water expert , Jay Murakoshi. Jay's presentation will focus on salt water fly fishing with an emphasis on casting from shore. With the popularity of shore fishing for perch, stripers and halibut, Jay's talk will be of special interest to Sam Bishop's legion of shore casters whose numbers are increasing each month. As it turns out, Jay told me that he is one of the pioneers of shore casting with a fly rod here in the Monterey Bay area. We can plan on seeing what Jay and his friends started out with and what new methods and techniques have evolved since the beginning. If there is time, Jay will tie some of his salt water patterns using Sam Bishop's new visual media device that broadcasts the tying onto our large screen. Popcorn is optional!
