Handing Over the Gavel

The clock is winding down on the weeks to my last days as President of the club. Pat Steele and Kirk Mathew will be happy to have a new President who can get their columns in on time. These past three years have gone by rapidly. Our club has grown in numbers. With the infusion of new blood comes new ideas and new perspectives. The club needs to welcome the change.
I would like to thank the Board members who have made the club what it is -The Cooks, the Steeles, Walt Robinson, Kent Hull, Tom Donovan, Harry Petrakis, Troy Mayers, Pete Thomas, Kirk Mathew, Mike Koslosky, Marcus McDonough, Rob Dumford, Norm Bedell, Dougald Scott and to Paul Schraeder for helping me get through some rough times.
To the new Board members Troy, Marcus and Rob, I want to encourage new ideas that challenge the current paradigm. Don't be timid to shake things up a bit. Just remember to follow the protocol.
