President's Line
by Sam Bishop

My congratulations to Tim Loomis, for three successful years as President of this outstanding organization. At the same time, he has been Chairman of the Program Committee. Members with that kind of dedication are the backbone of our organization. Congratulations also to Bruce Dau for the Dame Juliana Award. Go on his Upper Sacramento River Fishout in October and you will understand why he won.

Tim Loomis and I agree; we need a continuous emphasis on YOUTH. Let's make room for them on our outings, events and our meetings. I encourage you to bring sons, daughters and grandchildren to meetings, events (ConFab) and fishouts when appropriate and safe.

This newsletter and our website flourish when there is lots of input from everyone (that means all members). Please send so many articles and pictures to the editor and webmaster that they are challenged to make it all fit and have little or no room for addresses of congressmen, no room for recipes, only room to tell everyone's stories, hear your ideas and share your excitement of great days fishing!

I will see you at the meetings and on the beach. In the meantime, please share your ideas with me to make this an even better club.

Sharp hooks, tight lines, great adventures.

The BOARD of DIRECTOR'S MEETING in February will be held on Wednesday, February 4, at 7:00 PM. (what would normally be our normal meeting night at the Aptos Grange Hall.) All members are always invited to attend the Board (Bored?) meetings.
