Here is one for shad fishing or the surf. Ed Marcillac and Gil Santos swear by this one for shad, and they would know! It's not a hard fly to tie, but it uses some material we have not used in our classes before.

Bring florescent orange 3/0 monocord, vise, tools and light. Beginners are always welcome, and some club equipment is available.
