Assorted Musings

Pyramid was a blast! A cold blast at least! Waking up to five inches of snow was a huge surprise to everyone. Nevertheless, with ice forming in our guides as we stripped and icicles on our ladders, we caught a few fish. It was a big turnout and I suggest that those of you who have not tried it, join us next year. These are big trout!

A big note of THANKS to Tom Donovan, who made up a banner for the Salmonid Conference in Santa Cruz and THANKS to Mike Koslosky and Tim Loomis who staffed our booth at the event.

Name tags - At the April meeting we will have permanent name tags for paid up members. By wearing them, it helps us all remember the names of the people we only see every month or two. So please keep yours and wear it at every meeting. I keep mine in the console of my truck so I won't forget. And here is a "Chamber of Commerce" tip: Wear it on the right side, so that when someone extends their hand in a handshake, they will see your name immediately and not have to mumble something like "How you doing old buddy".

Bring the youngsters to the meeting, they should enjoy learning how to make a bamboo rod.
