* Lance Gray and Company Schools for 2009-2010
Lance Gray and Company offers the "Ultimate" experience in fly fishing schools that empower students to improve skills, gain confidence, and just have fun. They are fresh, inspiring, and are based on a combination of time honored traditions and cutting edge techniques.
The seasoned instructors provide students with hands on instruction at the coolest classroom possible, on the water.

The fly fishing school is broken down into multiple workshops that focus on fundamentals that will produce solid results. The focus of the school is to make the student a fly fisher, steward of the water, to teach etiquette, and to address safety concerns.
Steelhead School
Lance Gray and Company's Steelhead School, is conducted on the Feather River. The Feather River is one of the North Valley's best steelhead fisheries. During the peak of the season, landing 8-10 steelies is not uncommon.
The school includes one instructor for every three students. We use drift boats to travel the river to each "classroom." We will work on steelhead skills using both standard and switch rods. The students will learn the crucial techniques of casting, mending and double hauling. The students will also learn advanced techniques such as "high sticking", swinging, and using dead drift indicators.
The Steelhead School will give students the confidence, the skills, and the knowledge to choose the proper techniques, to get the fly in front of the fish.
The two day school gives the students one on one instruction with the instructors and time to practice on the water with their new found techniques.
This course is designed for novice and intermediate skill anglers wishing to learn steelhead techniques and behaviors.
