A Colorado Fly Fishing Guide's Story
Member Speaker: Rob Dumford

Coming all the way in from Colorado to be our December guest speaker is a former club member and our former Conservation Co-Chairman, Rob Dumford. Rob elected to become a full time guide in Colorado, rather than in California, to be closer to a special person in his life. Not that Colorado is shy of quality trout as the state holds some top rivers, creeks and still water fisheries that Rob will reveal to us during his presentation. In his last correspondence, Rob mentioned that he would like to talk about fishing the west-slope of Colorado. He says, "A steelheader at heart, I somehow wandered into Colorado to guide. I was amazed to find so much good and big trout water. My presentation is on some trout waters worth their weight in gold. Now the lead guide for a ranch in Colorado, IĠd like to share some of the waters I fish on my own time."
I must confess that I will have to wait to hear Rob's talk in order to find out, besides the obvious, where the west-slope is and what type of trout fishing one does there. We will also have a chance to gauge Rob's abilities as a guide after his first full year as a full time, employed, Colorado fly fishing guide. So if you have been wondering where Rob has been these past 11 months and what he has been up to, be sure to join in the reunion this coming Wednesday, December 2nd.

*PLEASE NOTE: Please do not congregate near the entrance of the Grange hall, nor in the parking lot before the class. Do not enter the building until 6:45 PM. If you wish to chat before the class, please do so away from the entrance.
