Sparkle Leech
submitted by Elaine Cook
Leeches often have a shiny attractive appearance as their smooth bodies reflect light under certain conditions. This pattern was designed with that in mind. This fly has been found to work best on overcast or dull days and with algae conditions. Leeches primarily live very near the bottom of lakes and ponds near shore. Using a floating or intermediate line, fish this pattern with 4 - 6 inch strips with medium or slow action. This is a very easy fly to tie.
