Fly Fishing Video Library

Here is a list of videos I have received for our club library. Members can come to next month's meeting to check them out. Also, please, any club members that have videos that they are willing to loan the club, call Mike at 688-1682. I will arrange to pick them up. I would like to thank the following club members for their donations of videos: Michael DiCiano, Jim Tolonen, Sam Bishop, Andrew Feldman, Jim Walt and Tim Loomis.
There have been three additions to our video lending library, courtesy of John and Pat Steele. Two are DVDs, "The Dynamics of Fly Casting" by Joan Wulff, which addresses casting from beginning to advanced techniques. The blurb on the jacket says, "In chapter format, Joan shows and explains the mechanics and techniques she has been developing, analyzing and refining for more than 60 years. You will learn the important elements of great casting, vital hand and arm movements, practice routines that will teach you how to make almost all kinds of casts, along with some very special tips."
The second of the two DVDs is "Bugs of the Underworld", by Lisa and Ralph Cutter. This is a short course in fly fishing entomology, including extraordinary underwater footage, following the life cycles of mayflies, stoneflies, caddisflies, and other amazing bugs. If you've ever wondered what these critters look like to the fish, this is a must-see video.
The VHS tape is a short comic bit, a choreographed ballet performed in float tubes, shot in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It's amazing what these guys can do in float tubes, and is sure to put a smile on your face, if not make you laugh out loud!
