Madelyn O'Connell-Bourdet
1950-2010

Madelyn O'Connell-Bourdet, owner of the Bourdet Ranch in Hollister, passed away March 7 from bone cancer. She was eulogized by her friends as a generous, strong-spirited and energetic woman who loved her family, church and community. Because of her generosity, Dick and Cecilia Stipes were able and lucky enough to sponsor for SCFF members many bass fishouts to her ranch over the last 10 years. Madelyn loved fly fishing and appreciated our Club actively using her ponds. The day of her funeral (St. Patrick's Day), many of her friends told us she spoke highly of our club. Madelyn's son, Shawn Bourdet, wants SCFF to know he will carry on the same opportunities and looks forward to our June 12 fishout.
