April Raffle Showers
by Jim Conner

Our last Speaker, Lance Gray, left a Gift Certificate for a driftboat trip on the Feather River. I was told that it is valued at $400.00. I also have a Plano Plastic Fishing Pole carrying container that can hold several poles and be secured with locks.
John Steele is going to bring a 7 weight rod kit along with a spool of thread and a rod-building lesson.
I also have a few goodies for a surprise at the end of the raffle, like I did at the last one. These are my donations. So with all this, it should be a good raffle.
Buying a raffle ticket is more than taking a chance on a great raffle prize. It is helping what our club stands for. Our proceeds go to support conservation. Whether you are lucky enough to win a raffle prize or not, you still win. If every member, who came to the meeting, bought $5.00 worth of raffle tickets, we could contribute more to our causes. So think of raffle prizes as just a perk when we support our causes.
