June's member speaker is our own Rich Rubin. Most of us are aware that Rich leads a fly fisherman's dream life by jetting down to the tail ends of the South American continent to fly fish for and land giant, exotic species of fish. All this is done "on the cheap." Rich puts to good use all the information available on the internet to research his locations thoroughly prior to departure. His pictures, which he proudly shows, are the "proof in the pudding" that it can be done, and Rich has done it extremely well. When asked how difficult it is to act as your own travel agent, fly fishing guide and companion, Rich throws you an "aw, shucks" kind of reply.
Don't believe his nonchalance! Show up at the June meeting to see step-by-step how Rich pulls this off. We might even get to see some slides of the trophy fish that can be caught down there. The popcorn is on me!
