My Last Hurrah
by John Steele

This is my last President's Message. The year has gone by quickly and now it's Paul's turn to keep you looking forward to your next fishing trip. We had lots of great outings this past year, and I got to meet new people and fish with them. The fishouts are definitely the place to get to know other club members and find out how much fun the club can be. So get out there in the coming year and enjoy!

This month's meeting is the annual slide show, with pictures and comments from our fishouts and other trips taken by members. It's always fun to hear the stories and extemporaneous comments from those who were fortunate enough to go and see the next country where the fish live. We're trying a method this year, with a computerized show. It allows us to use regular film prints and digital photos instead of slides, so we have more photos this year to choose from. Hopefully, it will be spectacular.

The Annual Dinner is also this month at Seascape. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, be sure to get them either at the January club meeting or at Ernie's Casting Pond. Don't miss this one! There are so many prizes, they are falling out of the closet onto the floor, so everyone should have a good chance at winning something really nice. Seascape will have a delicious buffet dinner for us, too, so you can't miss having a good time at this event. It's always one of the highlights of the year.

All in all, it's been a great year, and I'm already looking forward to next year's trips. See you at the club!
