Our April Club Meeting will be a Barbecue and Swap Meet. It just happens to fall on April Fools Day.
Admission is $5.00 per person with kids under 12 years of age free. This year's menu is as follows:
*Your choice of hamburgers, hotdogs or sausages (vegan burgers as well)
*Potato salad and baked beans
*Sodas (including a surprise "Blast from the Past" bottled soda) and coffee
*Hot Fudge Sundae for desert
Before or after you have sampled the cuisine remember to visit the "Swap, Sell and Give Away" area where members have a chance to recycle their unwanted fishing gear. I can't wait to finally clear out my garage of unused float tubes, pontoons, rods and reels, so I can go out and buy more newer float tubes, pontoons, rods and reels!
For those wishing to flex their casting arms Walt Robinson will be holding a casting clinic in the school grounds next door starting at 5:30.
Something new this year in keeping with the spirit of April Fool's Day - An oral recitation of "Whopper Stories" to be judged by an impartial panel of peers chosen from an elite group of proven liars. An unyet determined prize of considerable worth will be rewarded to the eventual winner. The club will ask that all entrants fill out a liability, disclaimer and release form before telling their story.
