Volunteers will get a safety talk and some instruction and be provided with work gloves, bags, etc. for this volunteer clean up day. Wear your waders so you can comfortably pull litter out of the river itself (tires, bottles, bikes, etc.). Donna Meyers has arranged for a city truck to pick up the piles of garbage we stack along the bike path.
Call if you want any updates or clarifications. Look forward to seeing you there. Frank Emerson - cell (831) 277-0544.
*New Shop - Ralston Rods

A new little shop is opening in Felton, California. Perry Ralston has gone to school to learn the art of bamboo rod making and is opening up a little fly fishing/custom rod building shop in Felton. The shop is at the corner of Hwy 9 and Graham Hill Road across the street from Cornerstone Gas Station. Like the great Joe Howell, he has turned the basement of his home into a quaint little shop - perfect for hanging out in during the winter steelhead season; www.ralstonrods.com Has a nice ring to it doesn't it!
You should see the rods he is building and restoring. I wiggled a nice little 3 wt. awaiting the application of the guides - Sweet! Perry is well on his way to becoming an artist building these rods, is a great guy and will have some other necessities for your fishing trips. - Tom Hogye
