This month, the club will host two of the more popular guides in northern California - Andrew Harris and Gino Bernero. Both men work as guides for Hat Creek's Clearwater House during the trout season and as independent steelhead guides on most of the top rivers during the winter months. Gino heads up to Oregon's Rogue River where he can entertain his clients with his new jet boat. Andrew often takes in the tropical waters of Belize in the off-season and has written a popular book titled "Plumas National Forest Trout Fishing Guide". Andrew is also a frequent contributor to California Fly Fisher magazine.
Together they will educate us on their favorite waters. Gino will speak about the fishing potential of the Rogue River while Andrew will talk about the Feather and Yuba Rivers. Together they will go over some of the areas on the Trinity where they guide as a team. These two guides are arguably the favorites within the club, and with their guiding schedules, usually booked months in advance with some very familiar names off our roster sheet.
