This pattern is a good dry fly for dry-dropper combos and is an easier tie of the venerable Humpy pattern combining natural and artificial materials. If you've never tied a dry pattern before, here's a good place to start.
Bring light, vise, tools (including hair stacker if you have one) and 6/0 thread colored yellow, tan or brown. Limited quantities of tools (and lots of vises and lights) are available for new tiers.
