The club first came into contact with our November Guest Speaker, Chris Parsons, in April three years ago while fishing on the Lower Owens River. This one moment describes why we sought out Chris as a speaker: he was actually able to hold Kathy Powers' attention while describing a certain nymphing technique!! Anyone who had that ability, we wanted. At the time, Chris was an independent guide out of the Redding area. Since then Chris has gone to work for the Redding Fly Shop. His talk will center around the Lower Sacramento fishery, and his preferred techniques of drift and still fishing.Because Chris has a long drive back up to Redding after he addresses our club, due to an early morning guiding commitment, the Board agreed to change our usual timing of the business meeting, raffle and speaker. Chris will begin his presentation at 7PM, when we normally start the meeting. We will conduct the club business and raffle after his talk. Be ready to take a seat, and give Chris your undivided attention so we can have a seamless transition.
