Trip #1
When: Wednesday, December 1st at first light.
Where: Andrew Molera State Park, Big Sur, CA
Gear: 2005 California fishing license and steelhead stamp. Crimped barbs on all your flies are essential as the river will be patrolled by the game warden. We are fishing for steelhead smolts in the 6" to 15" size, so bring lightweight rods/reels. The fish will hit anything. I recommend size 16 to 18 flies in both dry and wet patterns. Dry fly fishing is the norm but we even had success nymphing and dragging wooly buggers. Be sure to bring rain gear, walkie talkies, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, brimmed hat, water, food, snacks and a camera for the wonderful scenery. Waders, either breathable or neoprene and boots.
Transportation: We will caravan down the morning of the fishout, or you can arrange to meet us there. I will call you to arrange car pooling.

2005 Annual CONFAB
Fishmaster: Joe Bigas
It's not too early to set aside Saturday, February 12, 2005 for our yearly CONFAB. This is an all-day get together for fun, food, learning, swap meet and tall tales. This year it will be held, in place of our regular February meeting at the Soquel Grange Hall, 2800 Porter Street. The time is 9:00 AM until dark. It is potluck so please bring your favorite dish to share. There will be fly tying, casting instruction, a casting contest and swap meet. See you there!
