You Get Out What You Put In
by Joe Bigas

I was trying to decide what to write in my first president's message, when I thought of something ex-president, John Cook had written. I searched my old issues of the newsletter and found it. He said we have just finished the annual slide show and that "most of the pictures showed smiling members holding large fish, socializing, and helping out at the club. I hope those who saw the slide show will be encouraged to get involved in club activities. You don't have to do everything, just pick one or two each year." I have always found that whenever I volunteer for something I always get back more than I gave. After twelve years in the club, I am still amazed at the various talents our members have and their willingness to share them.

Finally, I wish to thank Paul Schraeder for handing over to me the controls in proper trim and on autopilot. In Paul's real job he spent many years negotiating and managing. I'll get it done, but don't expect it to be as smooth.

Tight lines (something I rarely have).

P.S. We still need a secretary!
