1. Some of the national forests don't have any fishing information posted when you click on their links, but at the bottom, after phone number and addresses, there is a link to directory of fishing personnel/staff for each forest: www.fs.fed.us/fishing/r5locate.html.
2. Here is a site that offers very good maps for access points on the Upper Sacramento River. www.fs.fed.us/r5/shastatrinity/recreation/st-main/st-fishing/rivers/upper-sacramento.shtml.
This site is provided by the Fly Fishing Federation for persons wishing to earn certification as casting instructors, but you don't need to have that as your goal to make use of the information. It contains videos of different casting techniques, broken down in slow motion, so you can see how to do it. Check it out at /www.virtualflycasting.com/title.htm.
