I'm Not Noah
by Joe Bigas

With the nice weather lately I've put aside my plans to build an ark. The annual benefit was the most successful in recent history. Everyone seemed to agree the food was the best yet. It was like returning home to be back at the Elks.

Surprisingly even the doubters were impressed with the format, "graze till you drop." I think the sit down dinner is a thing of the past. Once again we have to thank John and Elaine Cook for pursuing their dream of, "endless hors d'oeuvres." Each year it seems like we have even more members contributing to the success of the event. Consequently, financially this was one of the best years ever, netting almost $7,000.

Well it's time to get out and assemble the ladder for Pyramid Lake. In next month's column you will find out...did he catch any fish?
