Howard Power on the Move
After years of being very active attending club fishouts, some of you have probably noticed that my attendance has been spotty lately. This has been due to my move to the Trinity Alps area after my wifeÕs retirement from teaching this year. We will be living full time after the 1st of July at 12 Eldorado Way, Trinity Center, CA. , 96091. My mailing address will be PO Box 237. And my phone number is (530)-266-3728. We are living on Trinity Lake and are only about 20 miles from Lewiston Lake and the Trinity River. The whole area has great fishing, camping, and hiking and I want to take this opportunity to invite any and all club members to come visit and fish. The house has plenty of room and we have beds to sleep 6 in the upstairs loft plus lots of floor, deck, and couch space. The Trinity Center airport is only 1 mile away for those of you who fly. Please come and stay. I plan to hold a club fishout next year after I get familiar with all the fishing opportunities in the area. I wonÕt be at many meetings but plan to be active again at the fishouts. Hope you will give me a call and come fish.
Cabela's Negotiating To Build Reno Store
Mayor Bob Cashell, members of the Reno city Council and City Manager Charles McNeely are excited about the new jobs that will be created, increased tax revenues and a great new retail facility that will feature a public natural history museum element when Cabela's, Incorporated builds its new store next to the Boomtown Hotel Casino. It's not a done deal yet, but the plan is for a 150,000 square foot outdoor superstore to be open by late 2006 or early 2007. Anybody who passes through Reno on their way to Pyramid Lake or on to other fishing venues in that direction will have a great place to stop and shop!
