Damsel Fishout, June 24th to 28th 2005
Fishmaster: Cecilia Stipes

It was an extraordinary experience for the six of us (Kennette Roberts, Lee Fitzsimmons, Sophia Zadubera, Dawn Wagner, Cindy Phinn and me, Cecilia Stipes) to fish the evening hex hatch. Three boats powered half an hour up the Fall River from Tick Herceg's dock, armed for battle, each of us with two rods prepared with hex patterns. It was thrilling to see the developing hatch frenzy peak just about 9:15 every evening. One evening Kennette Roberts scored a 22-incher! There was a memorable ride back in the dark with our hand-held Halogen lamps losing power. We also enjoyed fishing Manzanita Lake in Lassen National Park, Baum Lake and two parts of Hat Creek: Powerhouse 2, and the Park. While at the park we coincidentally met up with Kevin Murdock and his buddies. Cindy Phinn successfully fished each venue, catching fish. Sophia Zadubera had an exhilarating moment at the Powerhouse one day when she and Tick watched a three foot fish rise to her very large Royal Wulff.
This trip was so enormously popular with everyone that reservations have already been made with Tick for the same time next year.
