Loop to Loop Connector
by John Steele

This method is a quick and easy way to connect heads to lines. The articles needed are a bodkin with a small latch hook end, which can be obtained at Beverly's Fabric Store, some Super Glue, available at Orchard Supply Hardware or other hardware store, some heat shrink tubing, which is available at Santa Cruz Electronics or other electrical supply store, and some hollow braided monofilament, which is available at Ernie's or any fly shop.

1. Run the bodkin up inside the hollow braided monofilament about 3 inches.
2. Grab the other end of the mono with the latch hook end of the bodkin, and invert the tubing, making a 2-inch loop in the mono. The size of the loop can be adjusted later if needed.
3. Slide the heat shrink tubing over the mono so it fits over both ends of it, pulling it over the loop.
4. To attach to line, slide braided mono 2" onto line. Put a dot of Super Glue on the frayed end of the mono, then trim off the frayed part.
5. Put a dot of Super Glue below the loop.
6. Slide the heat shrink tubing so that it is one half over the line and one half over the braided mono, then heat with a hair dryer until it tightens over the connection.
